Flight Info

You can book a flight to either San Francisco International Airport (SFO) Or Oakland Airport (OAK). The wedding is about an hour drive North from either. You can also book a flight into the Santa Rosa Airport (STS) if you wish, however the prices are usually pretty high compared to the larger airports.

Airport Express

There is an airport express that you can catch up to the area if you are not renting a car. It leaves from SFO and OAK about every hour and stops in several locations in Sonoma County. You can view details about exact drop off and pickup locations and timing on their website:

Where To Stay

Sonoma County is a high profile destination wedding location and hotels book up very quickly. Don't delay! Book your rooms as soon as possible for the best rates and availability.

The wedding venue is located at 4500 Bloomfield Road in Sebastopol, CA . The city of Sebastopol itself is about 10 minutes from the venue. In Sebastopol there are two hotels to choose from. There are other nearby hotels in Occidental, Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa.(SEE BELOW FOR LINKS) Those are each about a 20-25 minute drive to the venue. We also highly recommend looking into alternative places to stay through AirBnB.com, HomeAway.com, or VRBO.com. You may find a better deal if you book a room or house with family or friends versus getting individual rooms for all. If you are really on a budget get in touch. We have lots of family and friends near by and may be able to find a couch for you to crash on for a few nights.

The night of the wedding we have reserved the meditation hall at our venue which we can use for multiple purposes. For those who would like to stay up late, we can continue the party when it gets late and anyone who would rather not drive home that night is welcome to crash on the floor. We will bring some pads and blow up mattresses but please let us know if you intend to stay that night so we can accomidate you.

**Matthews immediate Family has reserved a house in Windsor for the week of the wedding. Windsor is a little further north but still nearby. If you would like to stay near them there hotels and other house rentals available in Windsor. Trinity and Matthew's new home is also located in Windsor.

Recommended Hotels:

Fairfield Inn & Suites- Sebastopol:

The Fairfield Inn is about a 5 minute walk to downtown Sebastopol and the main squre, with many resaurants and coffee shops near by. Make sure you mention Genovese/Cooper wedding for a discounted rate

Sebastopol Inn - Sebastopol:

The Sebastopol Inn is just a minute walk to the new Barlow shopping center where you can find local breweries and wine tasting, great coffee and lots of shops. The Barlow is right next to the Sebastopol square and downtown where you will find many more small businesses and restaurants.

Occidental Hotel - Occidental:

Occidental is a quaint little town in the redwoods. The Occidental inn is located within walking distance to everything in the small town of Occidental, including the famous Howards Cafe (great breakfasts).

Double Tree - Rohnert Park:

This is your standard Double Tree hotel located right next to an 18 hole golf course. There is a small shopping center next door with Mary's Pizza and Hana Sushi - both good dinner spots.

Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel - Santa Rosa:

This is a nicer hotel located in downtown Santa Rosa. They have a great Seafood restaurant and are right near Railroad Square which has many shops, good coffee, and great dining. The hotel runs right along the Santa Rosa creek trail which is a nice area to take a walk or bike ride.

Budget Friendly - Hillside Inn - Santa Rosa:

There is a hotel in Santa Rosa called the Hillside Inn which is reasonable price and gets good reviews plus has a great cafe restaurant. It's a little further from the venue then the other hotels but it is in a nice part of Santa Rosa.

Budget Friendly - Rohnert Park:

There are several reasonably priced hotels around Rohnert Park Expressway such as Motel 6 and Best Western. We would recommend staying here over any hotels you find on Santa Rosa Avenue. The Expressway has lots of shops and restaurants a short drive away.

When To Arrive:

We ask that anyone in the wedding party and the immediate family members arrive by Thursday or Friday morning. There will be a rehearsal around 4 pm on Friday July 31st and it would be best if you could be there. For all other guests, we will have some events planned for the days after the wedding for all those who can stick around and enjoy the beautiful wine country. See the Events and Timeline page for more info.
