The ceremony and reception took place at Open Sky Retreat center in Sebastopol CA. With the help of our officiant Richard, we created a non-denominational unique ceremony that consisted of elements from many traditions from around the globe. Thank you to Maia and Kayla for reading the poems and to Richard for being such a great officiant! Thank you to all the groomsmen, bridesmaids, to our parents and our flowergirls who all walked down the isle and took a stand for us and for our continued love and relationship. Why We Chose Open Sky:
After scouting out several other spots, we knew right away that Open Sky was the perfect location for our wedding. The owners of Open Sky Retreat are a wonderful couple who have lived many years in Indonesia and used to own a business in Sebastopol called Gato Gato. For years they imported Indonesian pieces to sell back in the states so their property is full of beautiful carved wooden structures as well as amazing statues and beautiful flowers. The property is used mostly for meditation retreats so its very peaceful and quiet with a view of rolling hills and eucalyptus trees.
